Reality Check

Are you one of those people who has been listening to me
and others, like Robert Kiyosaki, about generating passive income and
investing for a lifetime of prosperity? Maybe you've been wanting to find
the thing or deal that will bring you retirement now.
Or maybe you're just downright sick of having barely enough cash flow
and find yourself saying you'll do or buy something once you get more
money.
All right, so when is the deal, business, or lotto winnings going to come
through? As soon as you ignore the reality that is in front of you!
Don't like what you see in your bill pile, checking account,
or personal life? Then why would you keep looking at it? Ohhhh, you want
to be responsible. Oh, and you can't help it because it's what is true.
Yes, and being in denial about all of it would be nuts.
You better not keep reading this if you want to stay attached
to what is real for you. ;-) I'm playing with you. I want you to keep
reading. This is a far out (for some of you, others will love it) philosophy
that works every time ... IF you truly do what I say in the steps
below. I've used it in some hairy situations and have had clients do the
same.
This is not for the faint at heart. Do not try this if
it will cause you great stess. This game is to make you feel at ease,
joyful, and to bring you opportunities and riches unlike what you have
experienced up to this point in your life.
I'm so excited to share this with you in such a forthright way. The truth
is that I've been scared to write this to you, for fear you wouldn't be
able to handle it. Ha! I've been holding you back (shame on me!). So I
created a new reality for myself. You will love it and you are
all ready to do this in a bigger and smarter way than before. Ok, enough
build up.
My business partner's (Eva Gregory) favorite quote is, Never face
reality unless you like what you see! That's right. Ignore what
doesn't please you about your financial position and focus on what you
want. If you do this, you will literally see more opportunities for cash
flow and be able to act on them no matter what your reality has been up
to this point.
Here's why:
When you focus on lack of cash, lack of the perfect deal, and debt, that
is where your eyes are. It puts stress and doubt in your heart and mind.
You will feel yourself going into a negative tailspin. From this place,
there is no solution. When you are focused on the problem, you'll get
more of the problem!
If you make a conscious decision to focus on the solution, you have
to take your eyes off the problem. This is where things start opening
up for you. Hope occurs. Then inspiration to new ideas, actions, and places
to look for opportunities.
If you start going for your goals and dreams, even though reality says
they are not possible now, your solutions will be provided. It
is the Universal Law of Attraction at play. Give positive thought
and emotion to that which you desire and you will draw it to you. Focus
your attention and negative emotions on that which you don't want and
you will draw that to you.
Let me use myself as an example. I just purchased a rental property and
resources to buy my dream house are not looking obvious. Most people would
hold off on looking for the dream house.
I went for a drive this weekend to look for property in
my preferred area of Martinez. A must for my home is a view
of the water. I am very excited and serious about getting this home, ASAP.
I made the choice last week. I found 5 homes that are definite possibilities,
with all of my must-haves.
Here's the miraculous part of the story: For the last year in this area,
I've seen a total of about 2 houses for sale. It is when I decided to
truly go for it that the houses were there. Now, the solution for the
financing hasn't surfaced yet. Do I care? No, because it will. I know
that when I find the house, the money will be
there. Sound a little to out there for you to believe? What
have I got to lose? Nothing! What have I got to gain? My dream!
I know from practicing these principles that I have literally hundreds
of stories to prove this works. I bought my BMW M3 the same way. I kept
saying that I was going to buy a new BMW in 2002. I didn't know the model
I wanted. I had a BMW at the time, but the paint was shot and I wanted
all the new doo-dads that come in new cars. Last year, I said to myself,
Why am I waiting until next year for this car when I want it now?
So, I went to the car dealership.
The very first car I test drove was it! I had no idea of prices on these
cars and it never even entered my mind about a down payment. But the exciting
energy was flowing and I knew this car was to be mine. Was there money
in my bank for this purchase? No! But I knew it would work out somehow.
The next day I called my friend in the car business. He set me up with
the fleet manager at BMW. I got a fair deal with no negotiating or stress.
They checked my credit; it was stellar. I decided to put $8,000 down on
my credit card (I pay this bill monthly because it is a mileage card with
a 19% interest rate). In the back of my mind, I knew I had to pay
this $8,000 the following month. I decided that an
investment deal I was focusing on would blossom by then. Guess what? It
did! I paid the credit card in full!
The bottom line: Take action on deals and dreams, no matter your current
reality.
You will find a way to make the impossible possible from a place of inspiration
rather than efforting. You never have to go through with an opportunity
unless all the pieces feel right. When you hit a dead-end, turn around
and look in another direction. The solution will be there or a
better deal/opportunity will present itself. Be in the fun of the adventure.
