Life Lessons for Mastering the Law of Attraction: 7 Essential Ingredients for Living a Prosperous Life

“I'd Love To Do That For You!”
by Jeanna Gabellini

I was sitting at my mom's cabin this weekend asking the Universe to give me the perfect idea to write for this newsletter. Nothing came, so I watched a movie titled, “It Could Happen To You.“ Of course, the premise of the movie was the perfect topic!

The movie stars are Nicholas Cage, Rosie Perez, and Bridget Fonda. It's a feel good movie, and it was such a great depiction of how people react differently to an abundance of money if they have never experienced it before.

Rosie Perez's character didn't want to give any of it away and felt like the several million dollars she had wasn't enough. Bridget Fonda's character made her dream come true with her millions, but still felt she couldn't tell a cab driver to keep the change. Nick Cage's character just loved helping people and spent his money contributing to others.

The first two characters had a lot of money but still were holding old feelings about money that prevented them from feeling truly abundant. The male character felt totally abundant before and after he had the money. He didn't change how he spent his time or how he contributed -- he just got more creative with his gifts of money and time.

So, here was the inspiring part for me. Nick Cage's character was totally about putting smiles on people's faces and making dreams come true. As a coach, I am passionate about doing the same thing by empowering people to take inspired action toward making all aspects of their life fulfilling and successful. And, in my personal life, I also enjoy taking action myself to put smiles on the faces of the people I love.

I have to admit, I think of cool stuff I want to do for people all the time. Sometimes, I take action and sometimes there is a very logical voice that comes in and says, “Do it when you have more time or money.“ HA! Until I watched this movie, I didn't realize how often that “not-enough-time-and-money-Gremlin“ stops me. The nerve! That Gremlin gets in the way of my joy and tells me I have a lack of time and money, which is such a lie.

I DO have enough money and time for whatever I choose to be important. I always have enough time and money to skydive, try new business seminars and coaching, play with my daughter and mate, and several other things. The only reason I ever want to contribute to someone else is to make me happy. They smile, and it tickles me. So I've decided I want to take more action, now that I'm not waiting for more money or time ;-)

Last month was my dad's 60th birthday. I can't ever remember having a party for him my whole life. We always went to dinner and had cake but no hoopla around it. So I decided to have a surprise party. I asked my brother to help and he said he would. I expressed that we needed to plan everything ASAP. He said, “Jeanna, let's just make it easy, and it will be great!“ I decided that easy sounded really good. Then, a couple days later I ran into my step-mom who had the same idea! Surprise party and easy. Yeah!

This is the Law of Attraction. Decide what you want, expect it to be so, and take inspired action. It was the easiest, least expensive and enjoyable party I've ever had for someone else. You know what my dad had to say about it? It was the nicest thing that had ever happened to him. Boy, that felt good!

So, if you've been waiting to contribute, DON'T. Do it in a way that feels good to you. I personally like to buy gifts and make/do special things for people in my life. I like to be of service to anyone who calls me professionally and personally. You may like to give time and/or money to your church or charities. You may want to take someone special on a cruise or just make him or her dinner. It can be simple, short, and sweet.

As I always say in the Prosperity Challenge teleclass I teach, “It is never the money, time or any other circumstance that prevents us from having what we want. It is the belief that we can't have it that stops us.“ Make a decision to contribute or have a goal now or both.

Believe.
